We are sinners, destined to Hell who can't afford to pay for our sins but we find out that God's gift to us was His becoming a man, (Jesus) and dying in our place. He paid for our sins but we are not saved because we need to receive the gift.

Supposed you were drowning and I passed by. You would probably yell, "Save me, Save me." I wouldn't ask if you were good that week nor if you promised to be good in the future. I would just save you.

Yet you are drowning in your sins right now and Jesus is right here by your side. What should you do to be saved? That's right, ask Him. If you pray this prayer and believe it in your heart, you will be saved. Now it's not the words that save you, it's your faith and God's grace. Are you ready? Let's pray:

Father, I know that I am a sinner, separated from you and doomed to an eternity in Hell. Please forgive my sins and save me. Come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I will purpose to follow you all the days of my life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

If you sincerely prayed that prayer you are saved. Now your eternal destiny is heaven. You can't lose it because Jesus paid for your sins before you were born. That means he paid for them all, past, present and future.
